Kent Angier, President and Chief Executive Officer, leads the company’s real estate services including development and property management. Kent’s specific strengths lie in locating property development opportunities for the company, negotiating acquisition terms, managing funding, coordinating pre-construction engineering and architectural functions, and securing entitlements. After attending the University of Washington, Kent began his real estate trek in Alaska, working for a house builder in Anchorage. He returned to Seattle five years later to work for Pacific Residential Properties, an apartment development firm, and then moved on to Eastlake Custom Homes as vice president. In 1997 Eastlake Custom Homes blended into Bellevue-based Buchan Properties where Kent became a vice president. James Potter, founder and now acting chairman of Kauri Investments, Ltd., hired Kent away from Buchan in January 2001. Known for his energetic, “can-do” attitude and sense of fair play, Kent is an inspiration to his staff and others around him. His expertise and leadership combined with a well-rounded team of Kauri employees assures continuing success for the company.
